Each year 12 000 -13 000 children are born in Estonia, of which 3-4% have an inborn anomaly of bloodvessels. Tumors can gravely distort the child's appearance and may in the most difficult cases, be lethal. One of the most effective method for dealing with this illness is using lasers. As the the laser device that is being used at the moment has become obsolete (it was granted as humanitarian aid in 1992) there is an urgent need for a new laser in order to be able to properly keep treating the children. We were happy to contribute 2000 Euros to this appeal.
